Incremental transmitter and resolver

Incremental path-measuring and angle-measuring systems are used on electro-mechanical actuators as:

feedback from transmitters for controlling the speed and position of three-phase motors or servo-motors in the converter operation

sensors for controlling the speed of direct-current motors

economical and high-resolution path-measuring sensors

sensors for precise, direct-current or angular control during the synchronous running of several drives with frequency converters in master or slave operation.

Die Referenzfahrt auf einen Endschalter ist für die Wegmessung erforderlich.

The reference travel to a limit switch is required for path-measuring. The incremental transmitter is usually attached to the shaft’s second end on the motor shaft in direct-current or three-phase motors . A resolver – which can also be used for path-measuring and balancing the incremental transmitter – is always integrated into the basic equipment for servo-motors.
